Style Guide – 2012

The logo standards guide is an aid for all individuals who create, produce or reproduce the multitude of printed materials associated with or on behalf of Chilliwack Hospital & Health Care Foundation. All materials bearing the CHHCF (Chilliwack Hospital & Health Care Foundation) name impact the overall image of the foundation. As such, all should adhere to these guidelines.

Logo Use Guidelines: Colour Usage

The 3-colour version of the logo is its truest form and should be used whenever possible. When used in applications that are printing in 4-colour process, it can be substituted with process color breakdown listed below.

Three Spot Colours Preferred

The 3 spot color breakdown is as follows:

PANTONE 7406 (Deep Yellow)
CMYK: C 0, M 18, Y 100, K 0
sRGB: R 252, G 194, B 0
Hexadecimal: #FCC200

PANTONE 638 (Blue)
CMYK: C 83, M 0, Y 10, K 0
sRGB: R 0, G 171, B 211

PANTONE 376 (Green)
CMYK: C 50, M 0, Y 100, K 0
sRGB: R 122, G 183, B 50

Single Colour

For single colour applications, the logo appears in PANTONE 638.

Grayscale & Black/White

For grayscale and black/white applications, the logo appears in 100% BLACK.

Solid Colour Background

The logo may appear on a solid colour background in WHITE only.

Clear Space and Minimum Size

In order for the logo to be able to breathe, there should be enough clear space around all the sides, and in order for icon to be legible there is a minimum size to which it can appear. The guidelines below will ensure that our brand is strong and clear at all times.

Clear Space

A minimum amount of clear space must be maintained around all four sides of the CHHCF logo. Illustrations, photography and typography should not enter the space as defined by the cyan rule. The protected space is defined as 1 times the width of the “H” in the logo, as shown to the left.
NOTE: This rule applies to all versions.

Minimum Reproduction Size

The minimum reproduction size of the CHHCF logo is 1.25” wide (horizontal). The size is determined by the boundary of the logotype combined with the icon. Anything smaller will result in the logo becoming unreadable.

Logo Misuse

The CHHCF logo visually identifies the organization to the outside world, therefore it is imperative that it be used properly to ensure the integrity of our brand. The examples below illustrate common misuses of the logo. When working with an outside vendor, always supply them with copies of the logos we have produced in this guide. The following logo misuse examples apply to all versions of the logo.

Do not download the CHHCF logo on the webpage for use in documents. Instead, go to and download the print version.

  1. Do not use the type without the icon or tagline.
  2. Do not use the logo against a busy background pattern.
  3. Do not use colours other than the approved palette in the logo.
  4. Do not stretch or condense the logo.
  5. Do not use the logo on an angle.
  6. Do not substitute the logo font or attempt to recreate the logo.
  7. Do not use a drop shadow.

Working with Outside Partners

In relationships with external partners, CHHCF branding identity materials are available for a joint promotional effort. It is important that our visual identity elements be used properly. As a consequence, all uses of the CHHCF identity must be approved by the Director of Community Relations before they are released to the partner. The Director of Community Relations also has final approval on usage in the final work.
